Widows and Orphans of God Inc., dba Women of GoodWorks, is proud to honor Gladys Overton, whose vision and dedication were pivotal in our founding in August 2007. Even after stepping down from active roles, Gladys continued to inspire and support our community by participating in outreach events and assisting seniors in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas with essential services.
Her legacy includes a tenure as Secretary of the Executive Board from 2007 to 2010 and notable contributions to the federal service, impacting lives at the Air Traffic Control Center in Memphis, TN, and Naval Personnel in Millington, TN. To commemorate her impactful life, we established The Gladys Overton Seniors Outreach Project on September 6, 2023, dedicated to aiding seniors with food, clothing, furniture, housing, caregiver referrals, and administrative support.
This project is vital for continuing Gladys's mission, relying on public generosity, grants, and financial support. We invite you to contribute in any amount to keep this valuable initiative thriving.
